THE STORY
Circumstances
Colleague Mark Klement passed away on June 7, 2019. Mark was a member of the special task force. A Romanian gang of burglars was observed by police officers. The burglars were apprehended while they were still committing the crime. However, one of the burglars managed to escape. He escaped across the nearby railroad tracks. Mark gave chase and was hit by a train. He died of his severe injuries on the spot.
