Ludger Bürger (51)

Colleague Ludger Bürger died in a traffic accident while on duty on July 2, 2015. Together with his colleague Daniela Magdalinski-Vogel (ODMP.eu), he was supporting other police forces during a vehicle check. They were standing on the hard shoulder in their patrol car when a truck drove directly into their vehicle. The patrol car burst into flames. Despite all efforts, the two colleagues could not be rescued from the burning patrol car. The truck driver tested positive for drugs.
