THE STORY
Circumstances
An employee of the Dortmund Police Department, Nicole Steiner was seriously injured on June 14, 2000, when a 31-year-old man was shot during a traffic stop in Dortmund. Her colleague Thomas Goretzky (ODMP.eu) succumbed to his gunshot wounds. During the search, police officer Ivonne Hachtkemper (ODMP.eu) and police officer Matthias Larisch von Woitowitz (ODMP.eu) were shot by the perpetrator.
