THE STORY
Circumstances
Harald Wirbals was killed in a traffic accident on August 18, 2008. Together with a colleague, he wanted to help a motorist (British soldier) whose vehicle had broken down. As he was securing the breakdown site, he was hit by another vehicle and fatally injured. His colleague escaped with minor injuries. The funeral was also attended by British forces.
