Josef Vacek

On August 1, 2007, Josef Vacek and colleagues had a traffic accident. All occupants lost consciousness when the vehicle caught fire. The burning car was noticed by passing motorists who attempted to extinguish the vehicle with hand-held fire extinguishers while simultaneously pulling out the trapped police officers. Two police officers, including the driver of the vehicle, did not suffer serious injuries. Josef Vacek died at the scene of the accident on August 1, 2007 as a result of his injuries.
