THE STORY
Circumstances
The colleague Thomas Hafenecker died on April 7th, 2004 in Fallujah (Iraq). The colleague was a member of the GSG 9 of the Federal Border Guard (now Federal Police). He was deployed abroad to protect the German embassy. He was killed in an ambush. His colleague Tobias Retterath (ODMP.eu) also died during this mission.
