THE STORY
Circumstances
The colleague Yvonne Hachtkemper died on June 14th, 2000. During the search for a perpetrator who had shot his colleague Thomas Goretzky (ODMP.eu) and shot his colleague shortly before in Dortmund, she and her colleague Matthias Larisch von Woitowitz (ODMP.eu) met the perpetrator in Waltrop. Here, too, the perpetrator immediately shot the police officers and fatally injured both of them. The perpetrator was later found dead in his vehicle. He committed suicide.
