THE STORY
Circumstances
The colleague Matthias Larisch von Woitowitz died on June 14th, 2000. While searching for a perpetrator who had shot his colleague Thomas Goretzky (ODMP.eu) and shot his colleague shortly before in Dortmund, he and his colleague Yvonne Hachtkemper (ODMP.eu) met the perpetrator in Waltrop. Here, too, the perpetrator immediately shot the police officers and fatally injured both of them. The perpetrator was later found dead in his vehicle. He committed suicide.
