THE STORY
Circumstances
On October 11, 2015, Garda Anthony Golden was on duty at the Omeath Garda Station. Shortly after 6pm, Garda Golden, in uniform but unarmed, left Omeath Garda Station with a woman who, accompanied by her father, had just made a complaint of assault against her partner. Garda Golden followed the woman and her father to the house she occupied with her partner in Mullach Alainn, Omeath. When the colleague entered the house, he was immediately shot by the woman's husband.
