THE STORY
Circumstances
On 03/01/1940, colleague Roche was on duty with some colleagues in Patrick Street, Cork. They approached a man they wanted to question. The man pulled out a revolver and shot colleague Roche. He was taken to the North Infirmary Hospital where he died of his injuries on 04/01/1940.
