Karel Ullmann

On September 5, 2004, a police patrol was checking vehicles near Svoboda nad Úpou. One of the members of the patrol was Lieutenant Ullman. He was standing in the middle of the road and tried to stop another vehicle. When the driver, heavily intoxicated, saw the police patrol, he tried to escape it. In the process, he knocked down the colleague and fled. In the subsequent search for the driver, a service dog was used, which was able to find him. The driver's alcohol level was measured at 1.3 per mille.
