THE STORY
Circumstances
Colleague Leonardo Sgriccia was checking the papers of a motorist who had been stopped by his patrol shortly before when he was hit and seriously injured by a car traveling at high speed. He was taken to a hospital in Rome, where he died two hours after being admitted.
