THE STORY
Circumstances
He died as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident on the Bologna bypass on July 20. Together with a colleague, Diano stopped in the breakdown lane to check a car when he was run over by a truck and seriously injured. He was taken to Sant'Orsola Hospital and then to Rizzoli Hospital, where he died three weeks later.
