THE STORY
Circumstances
The colleague Attianese, who was at home and off duty, was informed by a passerby that a robbery was in progress at a nearby jewelry store. The colleague intervened as the robbers were leaving the store and told them to stop. The robbers, however, opened fire on the policeman, killing him.
