On the evening of February 11, the Caserta Police Headquarters Operations Center had reported the kidnapping of a minor. Checkpoints were then set up. The colleagues Paolo Caianello, Bernardo Iovino (ODMP.eu) and another colleague positioned themselves in Villaggio Coppola in Castel Volturno. There was suddenly a vehicle approaching them at high speed, whose driver lost control and hit the colleagues. The colleague Caianello was killed immediately, and the colleague Iovino died two days later in hospital.
