Giovanni Franchini (31)

The colleague Franchini, who was on duty at the Mobile Unit of the Verona Police Headquarters, was an enthusiastic rally driver and had participated in numerous competitions. On the morning of September 15, the colleague Franchini, together with his co-driver (a colleague who was also on duty at the Verona Police Headquarters), was on a rally on the route between the towns of Porzus and Prossenicco. His vehicle suddenly skidded and hit a guardrail. Part of the guardrail penetrated the vehicle, killing the colleague. The passenger and colleague remained uninjured.
