THE STORY
Circumstances
Major Miroslav Šírl served in the Police of the Czech Republic of the Administration of the Capital City of Prague. Like many of his colleagues, his fatal drive became a company car and he died in a car accident on February 18, 1991. Miroslav Šírl became the seventh police officer to die on duty since 1990.
