On April 24, 1982, two individuals entered a bank branch to rob it. After the robbery, a bank employee was able to describe the getaway vehicle. As a result, one perpetrator was identified and arrested, who at some point revealed his accomplice during an interrogation. The latter was to be arrested by the SEK, of which colleague Theodor Hofmann was also a member. After an observation, the second perpetrator got into a vehicle and drove away. The colleagues stop the vehicle and the second perpetrator immediately shoots at the colleague and fatally wounds him.
