On 25.12.1974 colleagues were informed that a person with a gunshot wound should lie on a street in Schlössern. The perpetrator should still be in a house. When the colleague Erwin Hoffmann entered the house, a perpetrator immediately started shooting at the colleague. Although the colleague also managed to shoot at the perpetrator, he was only slightly injured. The colleague, on the other hand, was fatally shot. After the perpetrator set the house on fire, he shot himself with the colleague's service weapon.
