THE STORY
Circumstances
Colleague Herbert Schoner was shot dead by terrorists of the Red Army Faction (RAF) during a bank robbery on December 22, 1971. After police officer Norbert Schmid, he was the second murder victim of the RAF. The colleague noticed an unparked vehicle in front of a bank. When he tried to check the occupant, he immediately shot.
