THE STORY
Circumstances
The colleague Erich Wilk died on 24.12.1949. On 22.12.1949, a colleague in an FDJ competition tested his weapons skills by trying to disassemble his service weapon as quickly as possible. In the process, a shot went off, seriously injuring his colleague Erich Wilk. The colleague died two days later from the bullet wounds.
