THE STORY
Circumstances
He died on May 21 at San Francesco Hospital in Nuoro as a result of injuries sustained about a month earlier after being hit by a stolen car. Together with a colleague, he was checking vehicles as part of traffic controls when suddenly a vehicle at high speed tried to break through the checkpoint. The colleague was run over in the process.
