THE STORY
Circumstances
Colleague Niutta and other members of the European Union Police Mission (EUPM) were traveling on a road in Bosnia when the vehicle skidded and left the road, presumably due to a layer of ice. In the accident, Francesco Niutta died on the spot, while the other three colleagues suffered minor injuries.
