Deputy Superintendent Rossi was at a checkpoint with other colleagues when a car failed to stop and fled. The colleague and two other colleagues took up the pursuit of the suspicious vehicle. This resulted in a traffic accident, where the colleagues drove their official car off the road and crashed into a tree. The colleague died in the hospital. His colleague Francesco Alighieri (ODMP.eu) also died a short time later in a hospital. The suspect vehicle, which had fled, was found abandoned nearby.
