THE STORY
Circumstances
On July 20, 2015, he was on vacation in Gąski. While walking on the beach with his wife and daughter, he noticed a young man calling for help, lying in the sea about 30 meters from the shore. Together with a group of other people, the officer immediately initiated a rescue operation for the drowning man. During the operation, the drowning man was rescued and the colleague lost his life.
