THE STORY
Circumstances
On May 15, 1985, together with police officers Vassilios Bouras and Georgios Georgiou, he checked a stolen motorcycle in the Gyzi area. When members of the terrorist organization "Antiregime Struggle" attempted to take over the motorcycle, an armed confrontation ensued in which the 41-year-old policeman was seriously injured and eventually died in hospital on May 27, 1985.
