THE STORY
Circumstances
On May 15, 1985, together with constable Vassilios Bouras and police chief Georgios Dougenis, he checked a stolen motorcycle in the Gyzi area. When members of the terrorist organization "Anti-government Struggle" tried to take over the motorcycle, an armed confrontation ensued, during which the 28-year-old policeman was seriously injured and eventually died in hospital on May 26, 1985.
