THE STORY
Circumstances
Folke Lennart Dannehed died on Aug. 18, 1961, from injuries sustained a few days earlier in a traffic accident on Malmuddsvägen in Luleå. Dannehed, who was riding a police motorcycle, swerved to avoid a child who ran onto the roadway. During this swerving maneuver, he fell and injured himself so severely that he later died.
