Martin Lindberg (27)

Martin Lindberg was so badly injured on duty on Walpurgis Night 1952 that he died of his injuries in hospital on 1.5.1952. After the festivities at Furuvik amusement park in Gävle, many of the spectators went home by train. It became crowded and confusing on the platform, and Lindberg was pushed backwards onto the tracks by the crowd as the train pulled into the station. The train cut off both of his legs and one arm. He died of his injuries at the hospital on May 1, 1952.
