THE STORY
Circumstances
Police Chief Andreas Martin Kelvad, was hired as a police officer in the Copenhagen Police Department on June 16, 1925, and served at Station 5. On Tuesday, September 19, 1944, he was arrested by the Gestapo and taken to Buchenwald concentration camp in Germany, where he died on December 10, 1944.
