THE STORY
Circumstances
Burkhard von Walsleben had been a member of the police union since he joined the police in 1964. During his tenure, he was active in the police union West and East, for which he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit. He was also committed to supporting injured police and firefighters and their families who were in need of assistance. Burkhard died after a long, serious illness.
