THE STORY
Circumstances
While several crews were conducting a vehicle check near Bilbao, he and a colleague went into a tobacco store to buy some goods. As they were leaving the store, several ETA members shot at them from a car and they were seriously injured. They were taken to a hospital but died before they could be treated there.
