THE STORY
Circumstances
He was part of a group of police vehicles that had escorted a truck from the Altos Hornos de Vizcaya factory, which was on strike. As they returned to Basauri, a vehicle blocked traffic. The colleagues were fired upon by ETA members. Juan Manuel was killed and five other comrades were injured.
