THE STORY
Circumstances
The colleague was talking to his colleagues in another police vehicle when he was hit by a grenade thrown by ETA terrorists. Another police officer was seriously injured. He had volunteered to be transferred to the Basque country because of the additional danger, in order to be able to pay the medical expenses for one of his paralyzed daughters.
