THE STORY
Circumstances
The terrorist group ETA had placed a bomb in a stolen car, which was equipped with 10 kilos of shrapnel. As two police vehicles drove by on their way back to the barracks, they detonated the explosive device. Luis Lorenzo was taken to the hospital in a coma and died while awaiting surgery at the hospital. The terrorists also caused thirteen injuries, including ten police officers.
