Josef Ludvík

After February 1948, members of his family were involved in anti-state activities. In mid-August 1949, he fled across the border to Germany on a service motorcycle. Here he volunteered to work with the intelligence service and, after training, was sent back to Czechoslovakia at the end of April 1950. He made further trips with intelligence duties in July and November 1950, and in March and May 1951. On May 30, 1951, he was arrested by the border guard near the state border and transferred to state security. At the end of February 1952, he was sentenced to death by the State Court in Prague and executed on July 8, 1952 in Prague near Pankrác.
