THE STORY
Circumstances
On 22 January 1949, while escorting three persons suspected of attempting to cross the state border illegally, one of them, Oldřich Uničovský, was shot near Nová Peca and died of his injuries on 30 January 1949 in a hospital in Český Krumlov.
