THE STORY
Circumstances
He joined the resistance in the Revolutionary National Committee in Prague and was arrested several times. On March 7, 1945, he was arrested for the last time and imprisoned in the Small Fortress Theresienstadt. He survived and was released on May 5, 1945, but returned to Prague with a fractured skull, knocked-out teeth, bruises and broken fingers. He died of the consequences of imprisonment in the Small Fortress Theresienstadt on May 26, 1945 in the Na Bulovce Hospital in Prague.
