Václav Malena

On May 6, 1945, he was on patrol in the village of Šebkovice, which was controlled by the local partisans. In a local pub there was some kind of quarrel between a representative of the old power and the new rulers, during which he was shot. He fled the scene and ran with his last strength to the Újezdský mill, where he begged for help. He was quickly taken to Horní Újezd and later to the hospital in Třebíč, where he died on May 7, 1945.
