THE STORY
Circumstances
On May 6, 1945, together with Private Josef Herzán, he was sent as a deputy to the Miličovské les to a German detachment of about 300 men who were supposedly about to surrender. However, the Germans interrupted the meeting and started shooting at the two parliamentarians. Private Herzán died on the spot. He himself was seriously wounded and taken to the hospital, where he died on May 7, 1945.
