THE STORY
Circumstances
During the occupation, he became involved in the Defense of the Nation organization. On July 7, 1943, he was arrested by the Gestapo while on duty for helping prisoners in Theresienstadt. On January 14, 1944, he was sent to Flossenbürg concentration camp and on February 18, 1945, to Würzburg concentration camp. Presumably on March 18, 1945, he was killed by SS men on a death march.
