THE STORY
Circumstances
During the occupation, he became a member of an illegal resistance group in 1943, which was infiltrated by a Gestapo confidant in early 1944. On May 5, 1944, he was arrested by the Gestapo and sent to the Mauthausen concentration camp. He died of typhoid fever on February 19, 1945, at the Mauthausen concentration camp branch in Gusen.
