THE STORY
Circumstances
After the outbreak of the Slovak National Uprising, he became a member of the High Tatras partisan unit. On January 13, 1945, his group was ambushed near Kriváň on Grúnik Hill. He was shot in the abdomen with a light machine gun and succumbed to his injuries the same day. He received the Czechoslovak War Cross 1939 in memoriam.
