THE STORY
Circumstances
On July 7, 1943, he and a colleague presented a loaded pistol and illegal leaflets to a suspect. The person asked the gendarmes that he was a resistance fighter to release him. They did so, burning the leaflets and throwing the pistol into the pond. However, the suspect was a confidant of the Gestapo. The Gestapo arrested the two colleagues on July 27, 1943, and he was sentenced to death by the People's Court in Wrocław on May 4, 1944, and executed the same day.
