THE STORY
Circumstances
On February 26, 1943, he was summoned to the National Gendarmerie Headquarters in Prague, where he was handed over to the Gestapo. On July 5, 1943, he was sentenced to death by the People's Court in Berlin for preparation to high treason, and on July 8, 1943, he and three colleagues were executed by firing squad in the Kobylisy district of Prague in front of 150 gendarmes and policemen from the entire Protectorate.
