Huub Raven (80)

On Saturday 17 December 2022, Huub Raeven (former chief of police of the Eindhoven GP) passed away at the age of 80. Huub Raeven was also the last chief of police of the Eindhoven municipal police. He started there as an inspector in 1967 and worked as a detective chief in Eindhoven for a long time. In 1989, he became chief of police there and in 1995 formally became regional chief for South-East Brabant. He retired well-deservedly in 2002. Huub worked with the police in this region for 40 years and was known as a striking police officer, who knew everyone and had a lot of contact with the shop floor. A real sleuth he was, with his pipe then as a faithful companion. Wilbert Paulissen, one of his pupils at the time, also has fond memories of his teacher, having worked with his father in the past.
