THE STORY
Circumstances
Astenaar Jeroen Leuwerink was on duty together with a colleague on Saturday 24 October 2020. When they tried to pull a dead badger off the road on the A270 near Nuenen, they were hit full on by an approaching car. Leuwerink did not survive the collision. He was 28 years old.
