THE STORY
Circumstances
On Monday 18 May 2020, Martin Wijnen (Senior tactical detection , team detective team Maas and Leijgraaf) passed away at the age of 60.
Over 40 years ago, Martin started his career with the National Police in Boxmeer, where he progressed to group detective. Investigating was in Martin\'s blood and after the merger he continued this within the Land van Cuijk and later with the Maas and Leijgraaf base team.
Outside detective work, Martin had another passion: the National Police Orchestra. For almost 40 years, Martin was a percussionist with the musical representation of the police. First with the National Police Band and until today with the National Police Orchestra.
