THE STORY
Circumstances
He died on 4 April in Lecce, struck down by an illness. On that day, Assistant Chief Co-ordinator Culiersi had just completed his 13/19 shift at the Flying Squad of the Lecce Police Headquarters: he was still in his office, drawing up his end-of-shift report, when he fell ill and was killed instantly. All help proved futile.
