THE STORY
Circumstances
Gendarmerie officer, born 28 April 1896, deputy station commander of Hodonín na Moravě. He was a member of the Sokol in Hodonín. After the occupation of the republic he was active in the illegal military organisation Defence of the Nation. He was arrested by the Brno Gestapo on 12 February 1942 for preparing resistance. In January 1943 he was delivered without conviction to the Auschwitz concentration camp, where he died in the gas chamber on 3 April 1943.
